Our Aquatics unit operates two main facilities year round – Dudley Park Aquatic Centre in Rangiora and Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre. Our outdoor facilities – Oxford Community Aquatic Centre and Waikuku Beach Paddling Pool, operate through the summer period.
From these facilities, we provide a high-level customer experience to a wide range of users ensuring that each facility is being utilised to its full potential. We are a respectful and progressive team delivering value for our customers. To assist with this, we are looking for an Assistant Coach to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.
Working closely with the Head Coach, you will take responsibility for:
- The delivery and development of a high quality Swim Coaching programme
- Assisting to grow recreation participation within the district
- Supporting the on-going training and development of the Coaching team
- Maintaining and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers
- Supporting with Team Management and Administration tasks as required
Our ideal applicant will:
- Be self motivated, with great attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Have a demonstrated ability to work within a team and serve a diverse customer base
- Hold a bronze certification or overseas equivalent
- Have a proven knowledge of and passion for swimming
- Be able to work rostered shifts across weekdays and weekends, at both Dudley Park Aquatic Centre and Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre
