Waimakariri District is seeking a Senior Water Services Advisor to join the Water Services Unit within our Utilities and Roading Department, based in Rangiora, North Canterbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and skilled engineer, with experience across both water and wastewater services, to join a progressive and customer-focused Council. This is a 2 year fixed term position with the responsibility of assisting with the implementation of Council's Water Service Delivery Plan, including developing the three-year Water Services Strategy and advising on compliance reporting requirements for economic regulation.
The Senior Water Services Advisor will work closely with asset managers within the Water Services Unit to deliver asset management projects and develop strategies and plans. The role will require taking ownership for projects and working closely with other staff across the organisation to deliver high quality water services.
This role will suit a qualified engineer, with relevant expertise in Water Services asset management and service delivery. Ideally, applicants should have significant experience in developing strategies, overseeing regulatory compliance and managing asset planning projects. Strong organisation and oral communication skills are essential for this varied and challenging position.
