The Role:
We are currently seeking a Pump Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair, and upkeep of wastewater pumps and associated systems, including UV disinfection equipment. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of pump stations across the district - critical infrastructure that protects public health, meets regulatory standards, and supports sustainable water services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of wastewater pump stations (including pump lifts, inspections, servicing, and cleaning)
- Wet well cleaning and wastewater treatment pump servicing
- Screen inspections at Wastewater Treatment Plants
- Sewer air valve servicing and UV system checks
- Aerator cleaning and response to pump blockages
- Critical sewer sluice valve inspections
- Development and oversight of ongoing maintenance plans and schedules and maintaining accurate records.
