The Role
We’re looking for a motivated Water Reticulation Service Person to join our Water Unit. This hands-on role is essential to keeping our district flowing—maintaining, repairing, and installing water, sewer, and drainage reticulation systems.

What You’ll Do
As part of our Reticulation Maintenance team, you will:
Maintain and operate water, sewer, and drainage reticulation systems to required standards.
Respond promptly to service requests and keep customers informed.
Diagnose and repair faults efficiently.
Assist with upgrades and new installations as part of our capital works programme.
Ensure vehicles, plant, and equipment are well maintained.
Keep accurate records and contribute to a safe, tidy work environment.
Be available for emergency events and after On Call roster
What We’re Looking For
NZQA certification as a water/wastewater reticulation service person (or willingness to train).
A clean driver’s license (Class 4 Licence and Wheels Tracks Rollers endorsements desirable).
Current First Aid certificate and confined space qualification preferred.
At least 2 years’ practical experience in reticulation maintenance, repairs, and civil construction methods.
Knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act.
Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to tasks.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Professional, adaptable and customer-focused attitude.
IQP & Backflow testing experience desirable.
Physically capable; this role involves manual work, including digging, lifting, bending, working in outdoor environments, and working on your feet for extended periods.
