Waimakariri Libraries have an opportunity to join our team as a Libraries Weekend Supervisor working at Rangiora or Kaiapoi library.

Supporting a welcoming, professional, and responsive library environment this role delivers dynamic front-line services and includes working with our community to:

• access and download our eBook collection on their digital device

• navigate online courses to get their career to the next level

• recommend or finding their next great read

• help with the delivery of fun and engaging programmes and events for all ages

• ensure our amazing collections are accessible and look engaging.

 We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the skills and empathy to support a diverse range of people in their use of the library’s spaces, collections, services and technologies.

To be successful, you will need to be able to think quick on your feet, be confident taking the lead in a team environment, have excellent physical stamina, and effortlessly keep a smile on your face during a busy workday.

Our ideal new team member will have:

The hours for this position will be:

• 9.15am-2.15pm Saturday

• 12.45pm-4.15pm Sunday
